BASIN CITY PARADE
Schedule & General Info
The Basin City Fourth of July Parade will start at 10:00 am on the Fourth of July and will follow Rd 170 and Bailie Blvd.
If the Fourth of July falls on a Sunday, the Parade will be held the day before, on Saturday at 10am.
Please see map for Parade route.
Water is anticipated at our Parade. Everyone is expected to be mindful and use good judgement.
If you have a question or would like to volunteer help at the Parade, please contact Adaline at 509-318-4818.
Volunteer info
20 pairs of volunteers needed: assignment comprised of a 1 hour meeting in June and a position ushering spectators 8:30-9:55am on the Fourth. Please wear a reflective vest.
Goal is safety by evenly distributing spectators along the entire Parade route, ease flow & parking/leaving, and reduce congestion.
Spectator info
When parking, please continue along the Parade route (Rd. 170 and Bailie Blvd) until you come to an open spot. Do not block the Parade route. Do not double park. Bring chairs. Clean up your area after the Parade.
Participant info
Please fill out the registration below before the Fourth.
Check in at the Easterday onion sheds across from Commercial Tire between 8:30-9:45am on the Fourth. Find a place in the Parade line. Park extra vehicles next to the onion sheds; out of the line up area.
Follow the complete Parade route to allow all spectators the opportunity to see the entire Parade, and to limit congestion.
Plan ahead. If your Parade vehicle cannot make a sharp turn or drive on a narrow ditch bank: Park when you get to the elementary school, wait until the end of the parade, and follow the designated parade route in a smaller vehicle back to the lineup area. Retrieve your Parade vehicle later in the day.
